It's a.....

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Pace is a boy! We will be welcoming sweet Vaught Pace this September! We're just so thankful for this precious blessing God is giving us. It truly is a joy that is one of a kind. I've never really thought about becoming a mother, but I am already so in love with the idea and with this sweet child. We can't wait!

New Recipe: Brownie in a Mug!

I have seen this recipe SO many times all over Pinterest, so it'd be hard to give the original recipe credit. I'm just going to post the one that I used, and it was fabulous! I can't imagine this having turned out any better!
If you're a chocolate/brownie lover, this one's for you! This is the perfect way to get a single serving of brownie without having to make a whole pan! Plus it's easy and nonmessy. This takes a matter of about 5 minutes!

Ingredients:
1/4 Cup of Flour (all-purpose is what I used)
1/4 Cup of Sugar
2 Tbls Cocoa
Small pench of salt
2 Tbls olive oil or canola oil (either is fine)
4 Tbls water (I originally tried 3; you need 4 to get the consistency right)
Ice cream for topping (optional, but you'll want it!)

Directions:
Mix all of your dry ingredients in a mug or coffee cup. I used my favorite coffee mug below!
Add your oil and water and stir until you get a good brownie mix-like consistency. It will even smell like regular brownie mix. Make sure you lick the spoon :)
Microwave your brownie in a mug on high for 1 minute, 30 seconds to 2 minutes (depends on the power of your microwave).
It will look just like a brownie when it comes out!
Top with a scoop of ice cream (I used to tablespoons of neopolitan) and ENJOY!!

YUM!!!!!

Be warned! You should probably be in a super chocolate craving mood because it is very rich! After several bites I had to give the rest to my husband; I was just craving a small sweet tasting, but next time I'm in one of my crazy moods I will probably devour this entire thing!

Baby P Update!

Our most recent upate; Baby Pace at almost 12 weeks!
This is a picture from my last ultrasound nearly a month ago at 12 weeks. I am now almost 16 weeks! My first ultrasound at 7 and 1/2 weeks, our sweet little peanut was just that: a peanut-sized blob! I could barely make out a little head on the picture. At nearly 12 weeks, that little nugget was flipping and flopping like a fish! I guess my morning Starbucks and sugary blueberry muffin really woke him/her up that morning!
Our next appointment is this Monday, April 14th, the day after our wedding anniversary. I can't believe that a year ago we were running around, freaking out over wedding things, and now my wedding seems so irrelevant. It was an amazing weekend and day, don't get me wrong! I LOVED my wedding! It was more than perfect! But now I realize that there are MUCH bigger things out there, and this baby has become our number one priority.
I was always that girls who said she was NEVER having children, and if I did, I would be at least 30. I guess this is what I get for saying all that, knowing I was probably kidding myself. But I feel so blessed to have been given this gift from God. What an amazing little miracle a baby truly is. I can't wait to meet our little darling!
